NASA Headquarters Special Emphasis Programs
Special Emphasis Programs (SEP) provide awareness, leadership,
and the expertise necessary to promote equal employment opportunity
and an all inclusive work environment at NASA Headquarters.
SEP Managers work to implement Presidential Executive Orders
29 and C.F.R. Section 1614.102 (b)(4).
In support of these programs, SEP Managers conduct educational
and motivational activities and facilitate observances designed
to foster increased awareness, understanding, and appreciation
for the contributions of all persons. Below is the list of
the monthly commemorative observances:

National Hispanic Heritage Month Program
When/Where: Wednesday, September 29, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.,
NASA Auditorium

NASA and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s (OCC) Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Advancement (HOLA) are hosting a joint program featuring remarks by Deputy Administrator Lori Garver and a presentation by keynote speaker, Astronaut Jose Hernandez. Light refreshments will follow. The program can also be viewed live from 10a.m.-12:00 p.m. on the NASA Television Public Channel.

A Year Of Community Service
EODM would like to recognize those among us who have given of their time to help others! We are asking HQ employees and contractors who are involved in community service to provide a sentence or two describing your volunteer activity and we will include it on our “A Year of Community Service” page for the remainder of 2010.
